Turning Operations Theory into Practice: The Sailboat Game in ISOM 5700
Students in ISOM 5700 Operations Management, led by Prof. Albert Ha recently took part in the Sailboat Game—a dynamic, role-playing simulation designed to bring supply chain and operations concepts to life.
Students stepped into operational roles, managed production lines, and experienced how operational decisions can influence the performance of an entire system. Through a spirit of friendly competition, students navigated various operational challenges and took away valuable lessons.
