The team was extremely diligent in working through the different information sources including our own staff, suppliers, desktop research, etc. Very dedicated, and with a good project management and structure. The end product is excellent: clear, concisely delivered, and with a clear message and connection to reality. The team’s collaboration is evident – we cannot think of any specific comment. We liked that every member of the group participated in the presentation, and knowing their personal learning journeys is also very touching.

HKUST MSGO students delivered a positive impact on reviewing our assigned corporate projects in a systematic way. They were passionate in understanding our culture and business needs. Their proposed ideas and recommendations were insightful and capable for us to implement. We also treasure every moment that we meet with the HKUST MSGO students throughout our enrichment activities such as executive talk, company visit and even selection process. In a nutshell, their readiness of contributing themselves into business world definitely becomes our key source of talent.

The students were quick to understand the problem they were presented with, and asked insightful questions during our introductory meetings. They engaged directly with front-line managers to get on-the floor knowledge of our operations, while being supported by the regional Operations Excellence team. The students underwent training on the software tool we were effective in evaluating the opportunities to increase operational efficiency. They were helpful in providing new perspectives in approaching predictive analytics, and brought enthusiasm and fresh eyes that allowed us to tackle a variety of analyses in the industry. The team presented the final project assessment that was clear, concise, and compelling. In fact, their recommendations were a major help in determining the path forward for our project.
